The last couple of days have been a whirlwind. We traveled from Germany to Lucerne, Switzerland yesterday. Lucerne has to be one of the most lovely places we have ever visited. Situated on Lake Lucerne and surrounded by the Swiss Alps, everywhere you look is a spectacular view. Yesterday en route we visited the Rhine Waterfall, the largest waterfall in Europe at 250 feet wide. (I’ve got to learn how to properly photograph waterfalls…my pictures don’t come anywhere near!) This morning a cogwheel train transported us up 7000 feet to the top of Mount Pilatus where we then walked up many more steps and were greeted by a group of friendly alpine goats! That was a thrilling surprise as the little baby goats were as friendly as puppies. Obviously, they were used to seeing lots of visitors.
