WHY YOU COME TO AFRICA

Africa, why? I heard that from more than one person when asked about our next trip. The picture blog below answers that question. Our guide said that he had never seen elephants swimming. We watched two different packs swimming across the Chobe River, just 30 yards in front of our boat. There is a little one-week old elephant that we watch learning to swim. The pack positioned him between and next to large elephants to protect him from the huge crocodiles waiting on the banks nearby. His little trunk would pop out of the water from time to time and the large elephants would help him along.  We were so privileged to see this beautiful sight.

The sun is setting in Johannesburg right now and we are waiting for our plane to Atlanta. I leave you with this post until we get back to the states.
