I know this lighthouse is a well-known part of Tybee Island and I really wanted to capture the image. I tried the last time we were here and was not satisfied with the results, so we took another run at it. We had visited on the day before this shot and the lighting just didn’t work. The next day saw a tornado warning with cells just east of us so the opportunity did not look good. However, the storm passed quickly and left us with a bright, windy evening so we ventured back for another try. With the winds, I still didn’t have hopes for a good shot. I am fairly satisfied with this one thanks to some lighting adjustments to the foreground. Marcy and I are both tweaking our versions of this image. We’d be honored to have a metal, print or canvas hanging on your walls. Follow Marcy’s Facebook business page (@marcys.photo.journey) for details.
