Traveling north of sixty …
The “Pink House” located on Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park is one of our favorite photography subjects. When we arrived for this year’s visit it was encircled by an orange barrier and I wondered what was going on. We were told that preservation efforts were underway to raise the house, install a new foundation, and re-stucco the exterior. I figured that such a government job would take months, but a few days after our first visit, contractors had the house up on blocks and beams ready for repair. Fans of the Tetons can read about the entire project here in the Cowboy State daily. The official Facebook page (@GrandTetonNPS ) of the park gives a complete history of the pink house. I know there are fans of this area, so I thought I’d post a progress picture taken May 19, 2021.
