A quick note about the Monument Valley story I just published — some subscribers may have received the post without the opening image.

That image is really the heart of the story: the long road on US Highway 163, stretching toward the buttes of Monument Valley, the very view many people associate with Forrest Gump’s famous “I think I’ll go home now” scene.

So if the email version felt like it started in the middle, that’s why.
