SEPTEMBER, NORTH OF THE 45th PARALLEL

The warm waters of the Gulf Stream trail north toward the Canadian Maritime Provinces and provide moderation against the early winters experienced at other places along this half-way point to the North Pole.  As nightfall comes, the Canada Geese rise from their evening feeding grounds, stretching their wings, honking in symphony and preparing for a trip down the Atlantic Flyway to winter feeding grounds.   Arriving at our cottage, the last bit of light glows in the west.   Nothing fancy here, just the simple pleasures of nature and God’s creation – We would not have it any other way.
