Waterville is is a small town situated on Ballinskelligs Bay on the Ring of Kerry N70 route. Our bus stopped here for lunch on a (surprise) cloudy, cool and misty day, but this was a colorful, friendly town with lots of photo opportunities. Our first mission was to find a grocery store to replenish our fruit and vegetable supply and we found Mace and Fogerty’s within a few yards of each other,
Nearby was the Eightercua Stone row – a megalithic tomb, thought to originate around 1700 BC
We happened along this roadside Irish Tinker who was primed with all the eye-candy necessary to attract tourists – of course, the bus stopped and he relieved our party of several Euros.
Below Waterville on the the Ring of Kerry is the colorful town of Sneem
