We met this little gray wolf pup right along the road in Denali National Park. Our guide had seen him a couple days earlier and just like today, he was alone. We learned that the wolf pack teaches the pups about territories and hunting and most likely the little fellow could not keep up with his siblings. A park biologist had seen the adults return to check on him, but if he does not grow and get stronger soon, this may be a story of survival of the fittest.
