Unexpected Encounter

We are following a winding 60-mile gravel road deep within Denali National Park with our thoughts focused on the hope of seeing the great mountain.  The guides all tell us that there is only a 30% chance though.  The mountain is completely shrouded in clouds more often than not.   We stopped here for a potty break and to stretch our legs before the last part of our trip in.   All around is scenic beauty, but what caught my eye and shifted my attention were the tell-tell signs of a man struggling with what I figured to be multiple sclerosis.  His wife was tenderly helping him to the facilities and he struggled slowly across the gravel.   My eyes filled with tears as I thought about my brother David.   It was a bittersweet moment.  I walked to the riverside and paused to reflect and remember him.  I wish you could have witnessed this scene, dear brother.
